Price Lodge #1550 unveiled and lit the "Wall of Honor" during the Veterans’ Day celebration on November 9, 2008. Approximately 250 Veterans, family members and friends came out to honor those who served in our country’s defense. Senator Mike Dmitrich was the guest speaker, and Senator Dave Hinkins and Mayor Joe Piccolo (all members of Price Lodge) were in attendance to show support for the event. The luncheon was served without cost. The hall was filled with "ooohs" and "aaahs" as Exalted Ruler Jay Martin revealed ten back-lit panels of pictures. There were several moist eyes. Wendell Christensen is the artisan behind this undertaking, and has eight more panels (72 more photos) almost ready to be installed. The veterans in these photos are not all Elks; the only requirement is that the veteran must have a tie to Carbon and Emery counties. "So long as there are Elks, Veterans will never be forgotten."
