To All Area 7 Lodges and Elks,

 

The Honorable Grand Esteemed Leading Knight Charles Serventi Golf Tournament has really taken off with the fast response and support of many Lodges and Loyal Elks. The Tournament has something for Golfers and Non-Golfers alike and ways all Lodges and Elks can participate. The Event is taking place on February 28, 2009 in Peoria, Arizona.  All Proceeds go to benefit the Endorsed Candidate for the Grand Exalted Ruler Joseph H. Riley, Jr.'s Copper Fund. This fund will help cover some of the expenses not covered by the Grand Lodge.

 

Attached is a list of many who have responded very early, to take part in this Historic event and help insure a complete sellout of all events. A few of them are my understanding of what they will be participating in from information received. 

Some Highlights of big things that have recently happened :

 

1. Professional Golfer, Rick Rarick has donated a Two Night Stay in Torreon plus 36 holes of Golf for 4 people. This is in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona. What a vacation that would be with a value of $1,400.00 and someone will win it in a raffle.

 

2. Mark J. Colbert Enterprises and Merced Lodge #1240 will donate a set of 3 wedges to everyone that plays golf in the Tournament. You may have to pay shipping and handling. Mark says this has an approximate value of $25,000.00.

 

3. Mark J. Colbert is also donating a complete set of Irons, a Driver and a 3 wood that we can raffle off to some lucky winner.

 

4. Bob Updike has sent a beautiful Jewelry box and a beautiful hand made bedspread all the way from Afghanistan for our Silent Auction. 

 

5. Ron Turrell, PER of the Chandler Elks Lodge is trying to organize a "Bike Run" of the "Black Widows" Motorcycle Club. We know the endorsed Candidate for GER will love his ride with all his escorts. If you would like to join in or have your motorcycle club join in let us know.

 

6. Thinking of coming to the event in your RV?  Sun City Lodge has Dry Camping for $10.00 a night.

We are really trying to get some form of Sponsorship from every Lodge.
